# Last project- a funky one

For this one, I wanted to incorporate something pretty random similar to a coin flip. My Dog. I wanted to see the probability of her going for a treat to the left or right of a chair. So I built a runway in my basement. I put a lineup of cardboard boxes as straight as I could with a chair and I put the chair in the (to my best ability) exact middle of the runway. I proceeded to run the experiment. I wanted lots of information to put on the graph so I tried a back and forth run 30 times... and she went through 2 bagels. I made it as equal as possible and had my dog go directly in the middle of the chair across from me to eliminate as many biases as I could.

The results were 17 to the left and 13 to the right. I made a graph of how many lefts she made for every group of 10. Here are the graph and the data: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aCVVsMSWZEppn3broBC5eTRGkuGPu8Yir2wmPPzQI-k/edit?usp=sharing

This project took me a little over an hour to do because I had to make the runway to conduct the experiment and eliminate bias and then I had to run the experiment... which was long because she was not very cooperative although treats helped. The point of this project was to see how the randomness of a living thing compares to something like a coin. I did the math and 56% of the time she went to the left and the other 43% she went to the right.

Thanks for reading and rating. This was my last project and it was by far the most fun one.

This is the best!

The great question – what was the dog thinking to go both ways!

So funny.
