# Project

*Google Sheets project*

I wanted to learn more about google sheets functions. I chose to figure out the functions for mean, median, mean deviation, median deviation, variance, and standard deviation. I also made graphs, to show the differences in brands more easily.

In able to do the functions I needed data, so I took six different brands of organic non-dairy milk. I looked at the nutrition labels for each of the brand's unsweetened milk. Using the calories, protein, and calcium from each, I made three separate graphs: one comparing the calories of each brand, one comparing the protein, and the last comparing calcium.

Then I went online to learn how to do each function that I wanted to figure out. I only took one set of data at a time (calories, protein, and calcium) to use for my functions, so I ended up with three sets of each different function. I first started out by doing the mean absolute deviation by hand. This involves finding the mean of your data, then taking the absolute value of each number of the data set minus the mean, then taking the mean of all those absolute values. Once figuring out the function in google sheets, I made sure the answers matched before doing the rest of the functions. Thank you for taking the time to read through. I really like using google sheets, I find it really fascinating, so this was a fun project for me.
